About Me

Gosh this window is bright...

Originally from Dundee, Scotland, Steven works for Rocket Internet helping them start Internet companies. Prior to Rocket, he did his MBA at Oxford University, where he focussed on entrepreneurship and venture capital investing. In a previous life he was a scientist – he has a PhD in Genetics from University College London and a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Dundee.

Prior to starting his MBA, Steven spent five years at a healthcare consultancy where he advised biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies on the IP licensing and deal strategy. He also redesigned and relaunched the company’s proprietary databases of healthcare business information.

Steven has an entrepreneurial passion, having previously co-founded one Internet startup and he still harbours ideas for another one or two.

In his spare time, Steven enjoys rugby and ski-ing, and is also an active blogger. Whilst at Oxford he also took to rowing with Green Templeton Rowing Club.

Steven’s various blogs, Twitter profile, LinkedIn, etc., can be found on his About.me profile.
